This photograph was taken by famous photographer Keith Carter. He is known for his dreamlike images of people, animals, and objects. His most famous images are "Fireflies, 1992"
"Atlas Moth, 1990" and "Catahoula, 1990."
Carter was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1948.
He currently lives in Beaumont, Texas.

He holds the endowed Walles Chair of Art
at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
He is the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts Regional Survey Grants.
He is the recipient of the Lange-Taylor Prize from
The Center of Documentary Studies at Duke University
In 1988 he received Lamar University's highest teaching honor, the University Professor Award
