this photograph was taken by mark powers. i think the different lines make this picture stand out. for example there is the line of the arch going to the right of the photograph as well as the lines from the left and the right due to the lighting going upward. i have taken many picture while in europe of arches and different architectural structures. this photograph has inspired me to photograph arches differently. instead of just taking pictures of the arch or the people and buildings on the other side, you can play with lighting and the darkness above to just photograph the arch.
