The name of this photo is Plane Over Midtown Manhattan, taken by Margaret Bourke-White in 1939. I was searching Time Magazine's vast array of images and this one jumped out at me. I really like the way the plane is in stark contrast with the rest of the city. Also the plane seems so sleek and fluid, while the city behind it looks more jumbled and chaotic. I also think that this photo shows how both photography along with technology had evolved. When man took flight, so did photography, and this also gave photographers an entirely new medium to work with.
