This picture has always been a favorite of mine. Taken by Steve McCurry in a Pakistani refugee camp, the eyes of this girl are forever haunting. This image provokes many emotions, causing one to feel empathy towards innocent victims caught in the throes of war. Her eyes are the focal point of the picture, and it almost seems as though the camera is staring into her soul. By simply looking at McCurry's photo, I feel as though I am taken into another world, one where tragedy and hopelessness prevail.
