I took this photo during my digital photo class while we were practicing with portraits. We were learning about using outdoor lighting for photos and how to set the correct ISO and shutter speed on our digital cameras. I liked the design of this image and the contrast of the girls black outfit against the gray of the steps. I framed the photo so that just the lower half of her body was in the shot because it looked more interesting than a typical portrait with her upper body and head included.
