Total Amount of Developer Mixture : 500 mL
This consists of: 450 mL of water and 50 mL of developer
For two rolls of film in a canister
Total amount of Developer Mixture: 650 mL
This consists of: 590 mL of water and 60 mL of developer
Times for the different types of film (1 part developer, 9 parts water)
Ilford FP4: 4 Minutes
Ilford HP5 (400 ISO): 6 minutes and 30 seconds
Ilford HP5 (800 ISO): 13 minutes and 30 seconds
Kodak TMAX 400 (400 ISO): 6 minutes
Kodak TMAX 400 (800 ISO): 8 minutes and 30 seconds
After pouring the developer into the canister with your film, for the first 30 seconds spin the canister (not flipping upside down) in a horizontal circular motion. Then wait 30 seconds. Then at the first minute flip the canister updisde down twice, making sure to move slowly so that the developer moves through the film and you don't create bubbles. Then after 30 seconds, flip the canister one time. Repeat this process, flipping twice at every minute mark and once at every half minute for the amount of time that your film requires. When finished immediately pour the developer out and begin step two.
