I found this image on a landscape photography website (I couldn't find the name of the photographer). I chose this photograph because I thought it was a good example of the purpose of a diaphragm. In order to capture a wide landscape such as this, one needs to use a very closed diaphragm. A very closed diaphragm requires a slower shutter speed. For example, a picture of a landscape with everything focusing could have a diaphragm of 32 and a shutter speed of 1/4.

I also liked this photo because of the way the mountain and the trees reflected off the lake. You could almost draw a horizontal line through the photograph in between the actual landscape and its reflection. The structure and its reflection appear perfectly symmetrical.
